The table above provides the information on the permanent employees (excluding the contract works). The reasons for decline in the number of permanent employees, during the last three years have been superannuation and Voluntary Retirement Scheme(VRS) in CPSEs.
This information was given by the Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Praful Patel in written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha.
