Hamon Shriram bags Rs 75 cr order from GAIL

Hamon Shriram Cottrell, the subsidiary of engineering, procurement and construction company Shriram EPC , has bagged a Rs 75 crore project from Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL) for construction of a cooling tower and water treatment plant in Uttar Pradesh.

The plant for the Pata petrochemical complex of GAIL was expected to be completed in 20 months, a company statement here said today.

"This contract is another milestone for Hamon Shriram Cottrell as we aim to increase the market share in the cooling tower solutions business in India," Shriram EPC Managing Director and CEO T Shivaraman said.

The opportunity for the business in the country was vast as cooling towers and the company expected power plant operators aim to drive down costs to enlist HSC's ability and expertise in the segment, which will contribute to Shriram EPC's overall growth, he said.

Hamon Shriram Cottrell is the joint venture between Shriram EPC and Hamon Group of Belgium. Hamon Shriram Cottrell recently forayed into the natural draft cooling towers, the release added.
